Interim Superintendent of Schools

Janice Sykora began working as an interim superintendent in Tuloso-Midway ISD on August 11, 2021. Her core strengths include school organization and improvement, financial management, and administrative leadership. Mrs. Sykora is a life-long Texan and career educator with more than 40 years of service to public schools and students in south Texas. She began her career in education as a secondary English teacher in Tuloso-Midway ISD (1970-80), Corpus Christi, before assuming leadership roles in other schools as an elementary principal, curriculum director, regional consultant, assistant superintendent, and superintendent of schools. “I am excited to return to Tuloso-Midway ISD and look forward to working cooperatively with the board, staff, and community,” Sykora said. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She is a lifetime certified Texas school superintendent.

Dr. White comes to TMISD with 12 years of experience from Lumberton ISD in January 2021.  He began his career in Houston ISD.

 Patrick Hernandez

for District Operations

Patrick has served TMISD and the District's endeavors in support of Maintenance, Transportation & Operations for over 13 years.  Patrick joined the TMISD team in 2011 as Transportation Director.
