What is An Endorsement?
An Endorsement consist of a related series of courses that are grouped together by interest or skill set. They provide students with in-depth knowledge of a subject area. Within each endorsement area are Career Clusters which help students investigate careers and design their courses of study to advance their career goals.
What is A Career Cluster?
A Career Cluster is a grouping of occupations and broad industries based on commonalities. Within each career cluster, there are multiple programs of study that represent a common set of skills and knowledge, both academic and technical, necessary to pursue a full range of career opportunities within that pathway – ranging from entry level to management, including technical and professional career specialties.
What is A Program of Study?
Programs of Study are course sequences that prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their chosen career. These sequences embed relevant, real world experiences and culminate in a postsecondary credential. Based on the skills sets taught, all CTE courses are aligned with one or more career clusters and programs of study, see link below to view all Programs of Study offered at TMISD.
